    Prioritized Must Have Skills For The Network Engineer

    #1. 5+ years as a network administrator in a Windows environment.

    #2. Experience creating policy and procedure documentation.

    #3. Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

    Primary Duties

    Technology expert and leader in networks and security.
    2nd tier systems & network support.
    Active participant in design, tuning and ongoing support for our data centers as well as location-specific technologies.
    Network security and monitoring.
    Occasional travel may be required.

    Knowledge & Skills

    Strong and diverse knowledge of systems and network security, auditing, and user authentication.
    Strong network troubleshooting background.
    Capable of working in a complex network environment while architecting a solution to simplify and secure systems simultaneously.

    Ability to prioritize long-term efficiencies by performing detailed work up-front, developing: documentation, systems, and routines to reduce technical debt and increase team awareness.

    Experience with data centers.
    Experience supporting employees at multiple locations including remote.
    Excellent verbal and written communication.
    Works well independently and with a team.
    Be a fearless agent of change; unafraid to challenge the current way of working, fail fast, learn quickly.
    Expert in Core Domain Services such as Active Directory, Group Policies, IP Management Azure AD.

    Understanding of current cloud management services, including multi-cloud management, cloud security, data delivery, and storage, data loss prevention, and tagging & labeling.

    Experience with device management in the cloud and on-premise.
    Prioritizes asset management and awareness.
    Knowledge of various Security Information and Event Management and Security Orchestration Automation and Response systems.
    Experience with multiple network technologies, including MPLS, SASE, SDWAN, Secure VPN, and Always On VPN
    Skilled in deploying secure applications on-premise and in the cloud.

    Accomplished administrator developing a successful practice of monitoring client devices and collaborating with technical and business teams to build improvements and efficiencies.

    Adept at working with the business systems such as ERP and CRM systems.
