    Leading a Companion Animal Practice at Family Pet Hospital

    We are seeking a skilled veterinarian to lead our companion animal practice in Topeka, Kansas. This vibrant community is located about an hour west of Kansas City, MO.

    This role offers the opportunity to take over a hospital that has been a staple in our community since 1995 and build upon its current strengths while elevating services and encouraging new business ideas.

    Requirements:

    • Strong leadership skills
    • At least 5 years of hands-on clinical experience
    • Prominent expertise in small animal surgery
    • A veterinary professional who trusts their technician and support teams
    • A passion for teaching and a willingness to mentor others
    • A commitment to lifelong learning and staying up-to-date on the latest industry developments/tools
    • A desire to build relationships with our small town, community-driven client base

    As Medical Director, you will oversee all policies/procedures and help build out services ensuring the hospital exceeds expectations and medical standards. This is a full-time role working Monday-Saturday (minimum 4 days per week with rotating Saturdays).

Our team is dedicated to creating an environment where staff truly cares about one another, the hospital, and our patients. We offer a wide range of services equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, and more. With low turnover amongst staff (our head technician joined the team in 1997), we pride ourselves on saying that once clients visit our practice, they're usually here to stay.
