is one of four statewide
Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA)Field Services
Quality Assurance
Program
Managers. You'll serve
as the
Quality Assurance Manager
(QAM)
for
region
2
and
report directly to the Regional Administrator. You will be responsible
to
ensure
the quality assurance activities, as directed by the
DDA
Office of Quality Assurance
and the
Regional Administrator
,
are
developed
and implemented throughout the si
x
counties
in the region.
As part of
r
egional
m
anagement, you'll
lead
a
high-performing
team of three Performance
&
Quality Improvement Specialists (PQIS)
who
are responsible for
Adult Family Home
, referrals,
QA
oversight
,
and training facilitation. They also conduct family and client surveys.
They also support
two Administrative Hearing Coordinators (AHC)
who
are responsible for
representing
DDAin the Fair Hearing process
.
You are
r
esponsible for
monitoring
c
ritical
i
ncident reporting
and mandated reporter obligations as well as
evaluating
trends
of
incidents. You'll
p
rovide regional training on incident reporting and mandatory reporting requirements to
DDAemployees
.
In
coordination with Nursing Care
Consultants
, you will
facilitate and
oversee the regional Mortality Review process
.
You will
r
eview and follow up with
case and resource management for supported living
providers
regarding
recommendations
related to mortality reviews.
As the regional s
urrogate
d
ecision
m
aking (guardianship) coordinator
, you
will w
ork closely with regional staff and
the
DDA
Assistant Attorney General
(AAG)
ensur
ing
DDA
staff have consultation
about
DDAclie
nt
appropriate decision-mak
ing
authority or representat
ion
.
In addition, you'll facilitate
DDAfiling guardianship petitions
and other court actions
through the AAG.
The Quality Assurance Manager is the
Liaison with Adult Protective Services on cases of concern.
Occasional travel will be expected. A hybrid telework schedule is available for this job.
King County employees receive 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary and are eligible to receive a free ORCA card for transportation use

Some of what you will do
Monitor incident reports, citations, and surveys; mentor a small performance quality and improvement team
Based on data analysis develop, implement, and monitor the quality assurance of the region's programs; develop improvement strategies
Work closely with case resource managers, administration staff, and community providers to address quality performance in all service areas for people with developmental disabilities, including the development of long-range plans and strategies to achieve comprehensive, high-quality service delivery
Collaborate with other stakeholders to gather input related to
DDApolicy and procedures, service delivery, and customer satisfaction
Consult on legal processes of guardianships, powers of attorney, mortality reports; coordinate with the Office of Attorney General when applicable
Provide field staff training
Who should apply
Professionals with the following are encouraged to apply:
Bachelor's
degree in social or human services, behavior sciences or allied field;
AND
Five (5)
years' experience
providing social services to people with intellectual
and/
or
developmental disabilities
.
Graduate training in social services or allied field
will substitute
year
for year for experience providing support to people
with intellectual
and/
or developmental disabilities
.
The preferred candidate will have experience in
developing
and
maintaining
a quality assurance
system in a social services program.
