Master Electrician
Location: Arlington, Texas
Employment type: Full‑time, salaried exempt position
Salary range: $95,000–$135,000 per year (equivalent to about $45–$65 per hour). This range is above typical rates in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area. Base pay is provided on a bi‑monthly pay schedule, and if you build the team and grow sales you can earn at the top of the range plus bonuses.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and service residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Source or fabricate replacement components and obtain permits, tools and materials as needed.
- Interpret blueprints and create rough sketches for projects.
- Guide and oversee journeyman electricians and apprentices, providing training and mentorship.
- Develop preventative maintenance plans and clearly explain them to clients and team members.
- Test and troubleshoot systems, provide emergency assistance and ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and liaise with clients, vendors and inspectors.
Qualifications
- Texas Master Electrician license issued by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) and at least 3–5 years of experience as a licensed electrician.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to read blueprints and use diagnostic tools.
- Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a variety of environments.
- Commitment to safety and knowledge of NEC, local codes and OSHA standards.
