- Assist with Accounts Payable activities, including processing invoices and communicating with vendors and suppliers via email and phone.
- Serve as a backup for payroll and eventually take full ownership of payroll responsibilities.
- Complete approximately 20 journal entries per month.
- Manage month-end close entries and reconcile AP monthly.
- Reconcile petty cash and perform related entries.
- Administer credit card transactions, ensuring proper coding.
- File Ohio tax quarterly and handle royalty tracking, accruals, and payments.
- Process monthly Superfleet invoices and annual 1099 forms.
- Address questions from buyers and assist with receiver and purchase order issues.
- Set up new vendors and manage any changes.
- Assist with audits and reconcile RGNI monthly.
- Set up foreign currency ACH and wire payments.
- Print and manage AP checks.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 3-6+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables (XLOOKUPS is a plus).
- Comfortable with manual entries for invoicing.
- Ability to work on-site from 8 AM to 5 PM with occasional extended hours during month-end close.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- CPA or Master's in Accountancy.
- Familiarity with journal entries, month-end close processes, and reconciliations.
- Experience working with manual accounting systems, with an interest in transitioning to an automated ERP system.

Job Description: We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is 100% on-site and offers the unique opportunity to work directly under the CFO, providing hands-on mentorship and significant growth potential. The Staff Accountant will initially focus on assisting with Accounts Payable (AP) activities, serving as a backup for payroll, and managing monthly journal entries. Over time, the role will expand to take full ownership of payroll responsibilities currently managed by the Senior Accountant.
