- Assists in planning patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and participating in performance improvement activities. Supports surgical procedures in a non-surgical assistant role.
- Maintains asepsis, performs scrubbing duties, communicates patient information, and ensures accountability for all equipment and supplies used in patient care.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills in communication with peers, health team members, patients, and visitors. Takes on the clinical preceptor role for scrubbing, following orientation guidelines, and collaborating with the patient care coordinator and educator/Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- 1 Years Current certification in surgical technology through the NBSTSA
- BLS from American Heart Association
- Clinical operating room experience highly preferred
