    Primary Responsibilities:
    The Web Developer shall work with GGI analysts, researchers, and cartographers/GIS specialists to develop web-based platforms for collecting, maintaining, and dynamically integrating open-source geographic and geospatial data for information sharing and analysis associated with complex emergencies and natural disasters
    The Web Developer shall also maintain the GGI cloud infrastructure, which requires experience with Amazon Web Services, Linux system administration, container-based deployment models, and other modern DevOps practices

    Additional responsibilities include:

    • Maintain and further develop a web-based platform for conducting complex analyses of geographic and geospatial data;
    • Maintain existing applications and services;
    • Develop architecture for testing and refining analytic models concerning humanitarian issues
    Analytic models will include, at a minimum, flows of refugees and internally displaced persons, conflict early warning, and disaster preparedness; and

    • Ensure appropriate and timely response to requests for information and data sharing.
    • Possess strong web development expertise using JavaScript, HTML/CSS, etc.
    • Have working experience with AWS cloud and Linux based systems.
    • Hands on experience with ArcGIS.
