- Operates and maintains equipment. Manages assigned personnel. Follows all safety rules and regulations. Mixes various herbicides to control the growth of weeds on and around facilities and rights-of-way following specific directions. Stores and applies pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides safely.
- Observes and report irrigation and landscaping problems to Supervisor.
- Prepares site field reports, which include materials and equipment used for district record keeping.
- Available for on-call snow removal as assigned.
- Works on landscape projects outside of the weed control season.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year of Commercial grounds, pest management, or weed control experience.
- Knowledge of basic math including portions and volume.
- Must have a phone for emergency contact.
- Must meet insurability requirements (Clean MVR)
- Criminal background check is required for hire.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License.
- Current Pesticide Operator license.
- Heavy physical lifting - over fifty (50) lbs. Items of various shapes and sizes.
- Overhead lifting and squatting are required on daily projects.
- Repetitive motion, i.e., painting, digging, hammer motion, etc.
- Standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Must be able to walk on uneven terrain and work in inclement weather.

We have an immediate opening for a Grounds Maintenance / Weed Control Specialist for governmental buildings in the Denver Metro and Greater Denver areas. Shift: 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Monday - Friday with possible overtime when needed
