    Description

    BASE Consultants is a highly-qualified structural engineering firm with the experience of a large corporation and the accessibility and responsiveness of a smaller firm. We are seeking a talented Structural Engineering professional to join our structures practice covering buildings and transportation structures. BASE offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects and grow your career.The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of structural engineering experience, with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering (must), be a US citizen or US permanent resident eligible to work in the United States and have a willingness to work in a team environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform analysis and design of reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel and other structures using SAP2000, RAM Elements, RAM Structural System, ETABS, and Mathcad.
    • Develop 3D models and prepare plans, details and construction documents.
    • Perform construction administrative tasks, including site visits, RFIs, and shop drawing review.
    • Prepare technical studies and reports.
    • Coordinate and participate in structural inspections and evaluations.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering BSCE(Masters degree with focus in structures preferred).
    • 1 to 3 years of experience in structural design experience on a variety of projects.
    • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering examination (FE).
    • Experience with general structural design software and tools: SAP2000, RAM Elements, Mathcad and Bentleys OpenBridge Design program, other Steel and Concrete Bridge design packages.
    • Proficient with Microstation and/or AutoCAD and Revit software for plans development.
    • Familiar with AISC, ACI, and AASHTO codes and FDOT Standards.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • US citizen or permanent resident eligible to work in the United States and pass background checks.
