    Position Summary:
    Manages the general supervision of the Corporate Account team for functions of the accounting process. Using established procedures, analyzes departmental fiscal data.

    Provides timely, relevant and accurate reporting and analysis of the results of the Agencies performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to aid Management in decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic goals.


    This position will be responsible to :
    Manages the Corporate Accounting team for functions of the accounting process.
    Analyze P&L data to ensure proper accounting procedures and accuracy.
    Prepare journal entries, financial reports, and tables. Review and update financial data reported to Home Office.
    Liaison between General Ledger team in Norfolk and General Ledger team at the Shared Service Center. Handle any inconsistencies related to duties brought to your attention.
    Train new employees and ensure training material/documentation is kept current.
    Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for critical accounts and review all other reconciliations done by team.
    Responsible for day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation, financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas.
    Organize report preparation for yearly external audit and budget.
    Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance projects as assigned by Management. Troubleshoot non-value-added processes within the department and seeks solutions.
    Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.

    Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:
    Bachelors degree in accounting required.
    Minimum of 5 years general accounting management experience required.
    Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesProficient skills in ExcelAbility to meet strict deadlines.
    Manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    Strong attention to detailExuberant analytical and problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal communication skillsSkill Sets / Education &

    Experience Preferred:
    CPA, CMA or masters degree preferred.
