    Description

    Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: The Site Coordinator provides for inmate medical care directly under the supervision of the Responsible Physician.

    The Site Coordinator is responsible for coordination, management, and evaluation of all clinical nursing operations for designated site with a direct reporting relationship to Regional Director of Nursing.

    He/she is responsible for ensuring all operations follow contract requirements, QCHC policies & procedures, and nursing standards of care.


    Pay Rate:
    $26.50/hour

    Administrative duties

    Ensure nursing coverage is provided for site in congruence with contractual requirements.

    Foster support and cooperation with jail staff and administration to promote teamwork and fulfillment of QCHC's mission.

    Utilize QCHC manuals, policies, and procedures to guide treatment of inmates and appropriate actions with nursing staff.

    Ensure daily nursing task are completed within prescribed timeframe.

    Assist the Medical Director/Director of Nursing in pharmacy utilization reviews.

    Assist the Director of Nursing in evaluation of the following on an annual basis and as needed: Orientation Program, Competency Evaluations, Ongoing Education, CQI program and Annual Review.

    Participate in the development of new and/or revised nursing policies and procedures.

    Identify equipment and capital equipment needs and submit request to corporate.

    Formulate and submit weekly and monthly reports to corporate

    Attend ALL mandatory meetings.

    Clinical Duties

    Respond and intervein to all emergency situations

    Conduct Patient Intake paperwork

    Verify and obtain orders for patient medication

    Conduct Sick Call clinic

    Administer medications in accordance with nursing standards and correctional regulations

    Complete ordered treatments, and collect ordered labs

    Assist provider with Chronic Care Clinic

    Monitor for and report changes in patient's condition

    Accurately document all patient information, nursing care and interventions

    Maintain patient confidentiality

    Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    Valid License to practice nursing as a LPN in current state

    Current CPR

    Prefered Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in a healthcare setting, with one year of experience in correctional healthcare preferred
