    Senior Electrical Design Engineer

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Spang Engineered Solutions in Pittsburgh, PA. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom inductive components for various industries, including renewable energy, solar, medical, aerospace, automotive, and military.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Design and develop custom inductive components using inductor design software
    • Maintain and improve existing design software, as well as research new tools and technologies
    • Support the sourcing of materials and components with purchasing and production teams
    • Work with engineering and manufacturing personnel to smoothly transfer new products to the factory floor

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
    • 5-10 years of experience in transformer/inductor design
    • Exposure to electrical component manufacturing and testing
    • Desirable background in Power Distribution Systems, Control Systems, Failure Analysis, Electrical Product Design, or NEC
