    Description
    Iowa Irrigation is hiring a general laborer position to assist with our directional boring crew. We are looking for dependable, energetic and hard-working individuals that need to be appreciated and rewarded for their good performance. This position is solely focused supporting the boring crew foreman by prepping hand holes, measuring pipe, cleaning up job sites, running vibratory plow and doing various other tasks as assigned. On the job training is available. Job SummaryWith over 30 years of designing, installing, servicing of commercial, residential and athletic fieldirrigation systems throughout central Iowa, Iowa Irrigation has become central Iowa's leading,go to irrigation contractor. We have expanded our directional boring operations to grow our company. To meet these new challenges, we are looking for highly motivated and ambitious candidates to become a team member and join our organization to help us continue to grow. General Laborer Responsibilities and Duties
    • Performs a variety of assigned routine, manual tasks; digs holes and trenches utilizing hand tools and plow.
    • Assist boring foreman as needed
    • Must be physically able to perform all aspects of the installation process.
    • Must follow directions from foreman.
    • Must be reliable and trustworthy and honest.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift, carry, push and pull equipment and supplies weighing up to 70 pounds.
    • Ability to dig and perform other manual tasks for extended periods.
    • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

    Measurements of Performance:This position is evaluated on the following factors:
    • Profitability (TBD)
    • Customer Satisfaction
    • Inventory Control-Loss prevention results
    • Number and/or severity of employee's safety/injury issues
    • Attitude with customers, division personnel, peers, and management
    • Successful completion of scheduled work
    • Attendance and being On Time to shop or job site

    Job Details:
    • Job Type: Full-time or seasonal
    • Wage compensation based on qualifications and experience
    • Salary/hourly: $15 -20 /hour
    • Work Location: Multiple locations within Central Iowa, Granger, Polk City, Ames, Ankeny, Des Moines area

    Schedule:
    • 8-10 hour shifts depending on season
    • Monday to Friday
