    Job Summary


    Responsible for independently supervising a team of engineers and/or other technical group, ensuring activities and projects are completed on time and budget.

    Job Responsibilities


    Focal-point for a cross-functional group of program managers, production, and technicians to remedy production test issues, including leading/organizing rapid deep-dive technical troubleshooting, analyzing collective results, and delegation of multiple parallel tasks for efficient issue resolution.

    Develop and implement test processes, procedures, and test engineering standards. Ensure adherence to those processes through reviews. Evaluate, improve, and implement new test processes as appropriate.

    Directly responsible for employee day to day tasking as well as future growth and development, including setting and evaluating individual and group goals and driving industry wide engineering best practices.

    Manage the test engineering demand among the overall business unit, including estimating engineering effort of emerging tasks, assigning priorities, and recognizing and leading product test flow and efficiency projects.

    Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians, and support personnel to coordinate, recommend, and consult regarding technical activities and progress.

    Manage budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments.
    Drive the program design to cost and design for manufacture requirements
    Participate in preparation of proposals
    Secondary Accountabilities

    Attend appropriate engineering, customer, or business meetings

    Practical application of common RF test equipment, such as Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, and Multimeters


    Conduct RF cascade analyses, using RF components such as mixers, amplifiers, and filters to determine system parameters such as Noise Figure, Spurious, and Harmonics, Intermodulation, and Compression.

    Working knowledge of pulsed and CW RF systems, including common architectures and design principles

    Design and develop RF test campaigns, including full ownership of test programs betweej bench test, system test, anechoic chamber tests, and radiated field testing

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of 5 years of experience
    Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge
    Expected to have knowledge and significant experience in multiple engineering disciplines
    Ability to lead major problem resolution efforts and support regaining or attaining customer partner status
    Desired experience with qualification testing of aerospace and defense products

    Desired competencies:
    Demonstrated experience with all aspects of test program planning and execution, and reporting
    Ability to solve complex technical projects independently and through the coordination and teamwork of engineers and technicians
    Ability to deliver test program results within challenging cost and schedule constraints
    Demonstrated creativity and lean development skills applied in support of complex test programs
    Continuous improvement mindset for test engineertng and supporting analysis tools
    Demonstrated problem solving and root cause and corrective action (RCCA) experience in the design qualification and production acceptance test environments
    Strong electrical and mechanical environmental test skillset
    Ability to create and maintain a strong action oriented and results driven culture
    Effective internal and external customer communication skills
