    Job Overview

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Outside Plant Technician to join our team at Palmetto Engineering and Consulting, a leading engineering and consulting firm in the telecommunications industry.     Key Responsibilities

    • Perform outside plant engineering, including fiber and copper network construction, field staking, and related engineering and drafting.
    • Design and document outside plant copper or fiber optic cable facilities (UG, Aerial, Buried).
    • Stake aerial and underground fiber optic cable.

    Qualifications & Technical Requirements

    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Outside Plant Telecom work with OSP engineering or Construction experience.
    • Experience in designing and documenting outside plant facilities.
    • Familiarity with obtaining permits, including railroad, highway, pipeline, etc.
    • Ability to complete work according to customer specifications and requirements.
    • High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
    • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a substance abuse screening test.
    • CAD and/or GIS experience a plus.

    Benefits & Hours

    Hourly pay is dependent upon education, experience, and credentials. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance, ESOP, and a 401k plan.

    Typical hours are Monday through Thursday, 10 hours a day.
