    Description

    Position: Social Services Assistant Director II

    Company: We are a leading organization in the social services field dedicated to making a positive impact in our community.

    Salary: $95,000.00 to Commensurate Based on Experience

    Employment Type: Full Time

    Description: This role is the second management level in the occupational group for Social Services Assistant Director. You'll be reporting to the Director of Social Services and managing a major division with multiple administrative and program units. Here are some of the key responsibilities:

    • Supervising management staff and acting as the Director when needed
    • Conducting necessary meetings
    • Directing, advising, and consulting with program managers
    • Writing, revising, and interpreting program policies
    • Consulting with the Director on major operational matters
    • Planning and coordinating specialized divisional programs
    • Leading special projects and preparing reports
    • Assisting in budget development and coordinating audits

    Requirements:

    Knowledge: Considerable knowledge of human services program delivery, social and economic issues, welfare services laws, human behavior, and management principles.

    Skills: Proficiency in operating office equipment and related technology.

    Abilities: Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, communicate effectively, interpret regulations, work collaboratively, and analyze problems.

    Education and Experience: A Master's degree in social work, behavioral science, counseling, business or public administration, or related field is required. Professional experience in social work or human services field, with some supervisory experience, is also necessary.

    Additional Considerations: A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field is preferred for this role.
