About the Position:
This position is with the 404th Army Field Support Brigade, Support Brigade Army Field Support Battalion. Responsibilities Serve as Physical Security Specialist with the Army Sustainment Command (ASC) in the S2/S3 operations.

Provide staff guidance and effective security program entailing the protection of people, government property, conventional weapons, ammunition and explosives, terrorism counteraction, crime prevention and technical assistance.

Manage programs relative to plans, readiness, mobilization, training, physical security of people, government property, conventional weapons/ munition/explosives, terrorism counteraction, crime prevention and technical assistance.

Monitor progressive levels of physical security measures, identifying needs for potential implementation in response to threats to the United States Army personnel, information and critical resources.

Coordinate plans, procedures and changes in Force Protection Condition (FPCON) levels with higher headquarters, tenant organization activities, and appropriate agencies.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes: inspecting facilities to identify security breaches; collecting information related to security violations and compromises by interviewing personnel, observing physical conditions, etc; and advising facility security personnel of possible deficiencies along with recommended solutions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11) Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

This is a(n) 19- system administration Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.

This position is eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "unscheduled telework". Situational telework is sometimes also referred to as episodic, intermittent, unscheduled, or ad-hoc telework.

Situational telework is approved on a case-by-case basis, where the hours worked were not part of a previously approved, ongoing, and regular telework schedule.
