    Job Title: MRI Technologist at MedStar Health

    MedStar Health seeks an MRI Technologist to join the team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.

    As an MRI Technologist, you will conduct diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) exams following established protocols, providing efficient and quality patient care. Uphold high levels of customer service aligned with the values of the hospital.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Perform patient interviews to identify potential medical conditions and contraindications. Select appropriate exams based on patient history.
    • Confirm prescriptions and protocols, adjust imaging parameters, and administer contrast as necessary. Check image quality before completing the exam.
    • Accurately document exams and ensure correct records in Cerner, PACS, PenRad, and DynaCAD. Assist in maintaining supply inventory and cleanliness in the work area.
    • Quickly prepare films and CDs upon request, aid in protocol development, and support training of new staff and Radiology School students.
    • Gather quality control data for managers and complete all essential information system tasks for proper patient care.

    Requirements:

    • Associate's degree or formal training in Radiologic Technology/Magnetic Resonance Imaging from an accredited institution.
    • Job-related experience or completion of a formal MRI training program. Exceptions for WHC Radiology School students with MRI rotations.
    • Obtain ARRT MRI or ARMRIT certification within one year, along with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
