    ExemptMain Function:
    Managing and directing instrumentation and process controls activities company wide.
    Function as discipline lead for applicable capital projects.
    Function as project manager/engineer for I&C capital projects.
    Provide technical support to plants for instrumentation, controls, and DCS issues.
    Direct the development of standard control strategies, as well as standards for I&C hardware, software, and systems.
    Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in troubleshooting of process controls, DCS, and field instrument issues.

    Ensure that instrumentation and DCS installation drawings, data sheets and specifications, are in full compliance with recognized industry and safety standards, as well as applicable CCC Engineering Standards.

    Assist in the technical development of plant project P&ID's and PFD's.

    Development of Engineering Standards for instrumentation, control strategies, DCS installation, HMIInterfaces, and External Systems communications (e.g., PLC's).Manage and maintain Central Data Historian System, including interfaces at each plant.

    Development of DCS project schedules and manpower requirements.
    Provide requirements specifications for procurement of DCS components and hardware.
    Provide oversight for management of plant DCS Systems.
    Development of effective control strategies, logic, and HMI Graphics.
    Ensure compliance with all Management of Change protocols for changes to DCS programing.

    Assist Maintenance Superintendent in developing plant I&E Technicians skills and capabilities in the operation and maintenance of plant DCS.Maintain a high degree of reliability in all controls and DCS components.

    Develop and implement project(s) to upgrade, maintain, and improve reliability of plant DCS Systems.
    Assist with annual turnaround planning as required and as it relates to instrumentation and controls.
    Respond when and where needed during emergency downtime situations or when problems occur.
    Build and enhance relationships with I&E contractors, vendors, suppliers to improve access to needed parts/support to improve plant reliability.
    CharacteristicsHigh energy level, team player, excellent work ethic, with strong project management skills.
    Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing.
    Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
    Education and ExperienceEngineering degree required, preferably Chemical or Electrical years of experience preferred.
    Experience with NFPA/NEC codes, as well as HAZOP procedures is a plus.
    DCS experience with Emerson DeltaV is a must.
    Experience with PLC's and System Interfaces is a must.
    Experience with OSISoft PI Enterprise Server is strongly recommended.
    Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Excel is a must.
    Plant experience is strongly recommended.
    Project Management skills are strongly recommended.
    Extensive computer troubleshooting and repair skills.
    Experience with and working knowledge of Ethernet Networking components and TCP/IP protocol.
