    Summary/Objective
    The commercial Plumber/Pipefitter reports to the service manager and is responsible for providing plumbing and pipefitting services to commercial, industrial, and institutional customers including repairs and installations of hot water systems, domestic water systems, and hydronic heating and cooling systems. The Plumber/Pipefitters work closely with the dispatcher and project managers for daily assignments, materials acquisition, and weekly scheduling.

    In this position you will establish and maintain a positive relationship with customers, vendors and co-workers through effective oral and written communication skills via phone, computer, and face to face. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, inspections, site surveys and service requests including repair, replacement and modifications of plumbing systems as needed or requested by customers. Communicating with customers, account managers and project managers regarding service call findings and recommendations is required. Job stress will range from moderate to extreme, with an average day being moderately stressful.

    Essential Functions

    1. Safely perform plumbing visits to Frazier commercial, industrial and institutional customers including repairs and installations of hot water systems, domestic water systems, backflow prevention testing, and heating/ cooling hydronic systems.

    2. Safely perform emergency service visits to Frazier customers as well as new customers

    3. Purchase required material from supply house, using Frazier electronic PO system, and submit receipts weekly

    4. Complete Frazier electronic work order forms for each assignment and submit daily

    5. Communicate regularly with Frazier dispatcher to receive daily assignments and report status

    6. Communicate regularly with assigned area leader any technical or customer issues

    7. Communicate with Frazier service sales personnel to support repair quotes, new maintenance agreement quotes and other customer needs

    8. Maintain Frazier assigned tablet, phone, tools and vehicle to optimize useful life

    Competencies

    1. Hydronics installation troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.

    2. Backflow prevention testing and repair.

    3. Communication Proficiency.

    4. Time Management.

    5. Ethical Conduct.

    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment
    The service plumbers work in mostly in commercial buildings, office buildings, schools, hospitals, government buildings and factories. Working in cramped spaces and during irregular hours is common. Ability to climb ladders will be needed.

    Physical Demands
    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    This position is highly physical and requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, and kneeling. It requires employees to regularly lift and or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift and or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and or move more than 50 lbs. Although most technicians work indoors, some work may be outdoors. At times, work may be in awkward or cramped/tight spaces and involve handling heavy equipment.

    Travel
    Daily travel to service locations in the greater Atlanta, GA area is required.

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Have a high school diploma or GED

    2. At least 18 years old

    3. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in a drug free workplace

    4. Possess a clean driving record and a current driver's license

    5. Strong steady work history with 3+ years minimum as a Commercial plumber and/or pipefitter

    6. Working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad)

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. Associates degree

    2. Star certification

    3. OSHA 30 certification
