    Following upon our roots as a family owned and operated business for the past half century, Paraco is leading the way with numerous initiatives including our state of the art production line in Waterbury, CT.

    We seek a proactive, mechanically inclined Maintenance Technician with proven hands-on experience working with hand tools and power tools, along with solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostic abilities, to successfully complete maintenance assignments and other related duties. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor, and will work closely with the other maintenance technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation of the production line and facility operations.

    Key responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

    Through observation of equipment during the day, you will be working with the Maintenance Supervisors and Techs, performing light maintenance, supply management, and special projects with regard to our production line and facilities.

    Light Maintenance

    o Greasing and oiling all equipment/conveyors

    o Cleaning internal components of equipment

    o Internal washer cleaning

    o Propane pump system daily maintenance

    o Air compressor daily/weekly/monthly maintenance

    o Wearable part replacement/maintenance

    Supply Management

    Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or Production Supervisor/Manager.

    Desired skills and experience:


    • Basic troubleshooting, problem solving and diagnostic skills.


    • Proven experience with hand tools, power tools and test equipment.


    • Ability to read, interpret and record data from meters, gauges, scales, panels, computer consoles and other equipment.


    • Complete maintenance assignments and assigned tasks and repairs in a timely manner.


    • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.


    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent or Vocational Technical Certificate training in at least one of the following: Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing.


    • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds at times throughout the day as well as bend, climb, reach, stoop & twist.


    • Solid work ethic, detailed, enthusiastic, committed, proactive and resourceful; effectively gets the job done.


    • Ability to communicate effectively in a positive and thoughtful manner with customers and co-workers.
