Phlebotomy Technician, Laboratory Services - Chicago

Job summary
The Phlebotomist Technician Will perform and process specimen collection including venipuncture and capillary draws blood cultures heel or finger sticks POC testing ECG exams and special techniques for difficult pediatric or geriatric patients. Utilizing a variety of reports to complete or cancel/discharge specimens in the electronic medical record system to ensure compliant billing. Provide customer service to physicians which may involve retrieving test results from Shirley Ryan AbilityLab databases Dispose of potentially hazardous material according to protocol Stock and monitor inventory of laboratory supplies.Responsibilities
- Perform ECG exams per physician orders for transmittal to NM Cardiology interpretation
