Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate Theatre Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will inspire students through the performing arts, shaping the theatre program and enriching the arts community within the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive theatre curriculum for middle and high school students involving acting techniques, theatre history, playwriting, and technical skills.
Lead engaging theatre classes and rehearsals, fostering creativity and enhancing students' performance abilities.
Manage school productions, including play selection, casting, rehearsal coordination, and overseeing technical aspects like set design and lighting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts, Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Prior experience teaching theatre at the middle or high school level.
Expertise in acting, directing, and technical theatre, with a track record in producing and directing school productions.
