Occupational Therapist- Yuma, CO
Location : Yuma, CO 80759
Project Duration : 3+ Months of Contract
Pay-rate : $44.00-$48.00/Hour on W2 with limited benefits

Job brief:
We are searching for a dedicated and patient-centric Occupational Therapist to help enhance the daily living and work skills of individuals facing physical, mental, or developmental challenges.

You will provide efficient and individual-focused services to empower individuals to confidently and independently carry out their daily tasks. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive view and the ability to tailor the environment to suit the individual.

Responsibilities

Address client's aspects of performance to enhance engagement in activities that impact health, well-being, and life quality
Select and adjust the appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach per case to direct intervention procedures
Administer interventions to optimize safety and performance in daily living activities and instrumental daily living activities
Educate clients on new approaches to tasks and assist them in breaking down activities into manageable parts
Evaluate the client's living environment and offer suggestions for modifications that align with their requirements
Recommend adaptive tools and provide training on their usage
Support and educate family members and caregivers
Monitor, record, and report on progress towards long and short term treatment objectives
Document processes and collect relevant data
Regularly follow up with clients

Requirements and skills

Demonstrated experience as an Occupational Therapist
Thorough understanding of occupational therapy principles and practices
Capability to handle patients with diverse personalities
Current grasp of treatment practices within the field and a drive for continuous professional development
Exhibit professional conduct
Exceptional interpersonal communication abilities
Valid State license for practicing occupational therapy
Preferably hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in occupational therapy
