Description
As a Neurosurgeon, youll have the vital responsibility of examining, diagnosing, and performing surgeries for patients suffering from neurological disease, injury, or disorders.
As an Officer in the U.S. Army healthcare community, youll help prevent illnesses, rehabilitate, treat, and promote the overall health of Soldiers and their Families.Benefits may include:

Requirements:
Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
Current license to practice medicine in the USA, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship
Completion of a training program in preventive medicine
Completion of an ACGME approved residency program in NeuroSurgery
Between 21 and 55 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis)
U.S. citizenship
