    **Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:30pm**

    This position is responsible for warehouse/material distribution tasks relative to the receiving and shipment of product. **Must have experience and feel comfortable operating a Reach Truck and Turret Forklift** .

    **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

    The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. The omission of a specific duty or responsibility will not preclude it from the position.

    + Processing customer orders, to include: scanning bar codes, labeling boxes, picking product, and preparing packages for shipment.

    + Palletizing to include scanning, retrieving and placing completed orders on pallets.

    + Re-palletizing products for shipment.

    + May be responsible for dock manifest duties which include scanning completed pallets and running shrink wrapper.

    + May be responsible for operating the ground/manual manifest station.

    + May be required to transport pallets by material handling equipment.

    + Ensures all assigned duties are completed in a timely manner in accordance with departmental standards and by following departmental procedures.

    + Maintains an acceptable work area as outlined in the Quality System Regulations (QSR).

    + Responsible for following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) as outlined in SOP.

    + Must take safety first and be able to work diligently to maintain safe working conditions and to adhere to proper operating practices and procedure designed to prevent injuries and illnesses.

    + Regular and reliable attendance at work.

    + For most roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company's receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. In limited circumstances, weekly testing for COVID-19 may be available instead of vaccination.     **EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

    + High School diploma, GED or 1 year of relevant experience required.

    **LANGUAGE SKILLS**

    + Good communication skills

    **MATHEMATICAL SKILLS**

    + Must have good basic math skills

    **REASONING ABILITY:**

    + Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form. Ability to adapt to shifting priorities.

The employee may occasionally be required to kneel, push or pull. The job can require lifting over 50 lbs.

    **WORK ENVIRONMENT**

    The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions and vibration. Occasionally the position will have exposure to work in high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles. It is hot in the summer months (no AC) and cold in the winter months (limited heating). The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
