    The successful candidate will support the business in developing embedded systems to support our customer's needs, who are typically the top ten defence primes.

    This will be both working on internal research and development projects or customer driven projects, through the entire development lifecycle.

    You will be a part of a growing team and will form a key part in defining how we will continue to grow.


    The key responsibilities for the role include:

    Perform a wide variety of tasks including the design, development, and verification testing of our new rugged VPX SOSA systems, to meet both internal and customer needs.

    Work with cross-functional project teams, consisting of digital/analog hardware, software, and mechanical engineers.
    Create innovate solutions that deliver value to our customers
    Lead projects from concept to delivery
    Ensure that the products are designed with quality at the forefront.
    Identify suitable supplier products to integrate
    Define/refine the product requirements.
    Work as a key part of bid teams creating innovative solutions for customers.

    What do I need to bring with me?
    Desirable knowledge and experience
    Experience integrating systems with modules using some of the following FPGA, Processors, GPUs, GPIO and Ethernet Switches.
    Experience of being part of a team, taking a project from concept to delivery through the whole product lifecycle process
    Strong understanding of embedded computer systems, high-speed digital signals, signal integrity, noise management.
    Experience of working with FPGAs and CPLDs and associated programming language
    Experience with some of the standard industry interfaces such as Ethernet, Fiber Optic, USB, DP, DVI, Serial, and PCIe.
    Knowledge of working with some of the various industry standards like VPX, XMC, VME, CPCI and SOSA.
    Experience developing systems utilising some of the following interfaces Ethernet, PCIe, USB, ARINC429, Display Port, DVI, MIL-STD-1553, RS-232, RS485 and RS-422
    Working knowledge of some of the following standards. MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275 andDO-160
    Familiarity working with Linux, Windows, VxWorks

    Keen interest in new technology and upcoming standards that push the edge of data processing computer systems like PCIe 5.

    0 and 100Gbe
    Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills
    Qualifications
    Bachelors in Electrical/Electronic Degree or equivalent qualification.
