    Description
    Prepares journal entries in compliance with GAAP and the company's policies and procedures.
    Supports entries with proper documentation and approvals. Adhere to the general ledger close schedule.
    Review entries made by AR & AP Specialists for accuracy, supporting and guiding corrective entries as needed.
    Maintains the balance sheet reconciliation of various assigned accounts (AR, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash accounts, Inventory, Prepaids). Also, maintain and evaluate systems and procedures and suggest changes to the supervisor to improve productivity and enhance systems.
    Assists in the coordination and preparation of assigned duties for quarterly and year-end external audits.

    Ensures the company's state sales and use tax returns are reconciled to ledger, prepared accurately with supporting documentation, submitted for review, and file/paid on a timely basis each month.

    Creates and identifies process improvement opportunities, recommendations, and subsequent execution/ project ownership. Documents processes and procedures.

    Assist with preparation of monthly/quarterly financial reports with operating results (consolidated and departmental level) and provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of key variances and trends, highlighting both risks and opportunities.

    Serves as a financial resource, providing timely responses to inquiries which require research and possible subsequent action items ie. expense trending analytics.
    Nature of work requires independence and autonomy; typically receives guidance only on unusual complex problems or issues. Work review involves periodic review of output by supervisor and/or direct "customers" of the process.
    Performs other duties as assigned.
    Bachelor's degree in related field (Accounting, Business or Economics).
    Exceptional attention to detail in a high-transaction environment.
    Manufacturing and/ or Distribution background required.
    Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Advanced Excel skills. Knowledge of Oracle or other large ERP system preferred.
    Able to accomplish assigned projects utilizing strong communication (written and verbal), project management, time management and collaboration skills.

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

    Ability to perform high quality work within assigned deadlines.
    Ability to think strategically and be able to focus on the accomplishment of current departmental priorities.

    Position wage range $80,000 - $90,000 Based on Experience
