    Job Description:

    As a Staff Battery Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our battery technology roadmap, leading the design, development, and optimization of next-generation battery materials. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, solve complex challenges, and push the boundaries of energy storage capabilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of clean energy.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Research and Development: Lead research initiatives to explore novel materials, architectures, and processes for advanced battery technologies.
    2. Battery Design and Optimization: Drive the design and optimization of battery electrode materials.
    3. Performance Characterization: Establish testing protocols and methodologies for characterizing battery performance under various operating conditions, including cycle life, energy density, power density, and thermal management.
    4. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
    5. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements related to battery design, testing, and manufacturing.

    Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
    • 5-10 years experience developing new battery materials
    • Proven track record of research and innovation in battery technology, demonstrated through publications, patents, or commercial products.
    • Expertise in battery materials, electrochemistry, and cell design, with a deep understanding of fundamental principles and industry trends.
    • Strong proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical methods, with experience using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or R.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving projects from concept to commercialization.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Strong leadership skills, with a passion for mentorship and talent development.
    • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and safety standards in the battery industry is a plus.
