    Job Title: Medical Records Technician

    Location: Havre de Grace, MD

    Duties:

    • Responsible for tracking medical records of ALL assigned Soldiers.
    • Responsible for administrative medical charting regarding records in eCase.
    • Request profile exams/evaluations and audiology exams at physical exam center.
    • Attend PHA events as determined by the needs of the state and the individual units.
    • Regularly check emails throughout the business day and respond in a timely fashion. An out of office response is required anytime the employee is not working on a scheduled day.
    • Check voicemail throughout the business day and respond within 24 hours. An out of office response is required anytime the employee is not working on a scheduled day.
    • Ensure all medical documentation received from the Soldier and/or their medical team is received and placed in appropriated electronic record, as well as the Soldier's hard copy record.
    • Maintain soldier medical records and maintain a tracking log.
    • Obtain release of information signed by the soldier for the release or collection of medical records.
    • Upload medical documents of Soldiers into Health Readiness Record (HRR).
    • Stamp all medical documents for verification after uploading
    • Index uploaded medical documents in HRR, and print or email a complete copy upon request.
    • Track medical appointments by communication with unit to ensure Soldier attendance and submission of follow up documentation.
    • Communicate with delegated government personnel to track medical record submission compliance versus noncompliance.
    • The Government will provide training necessary to utilize medical the data base.
    • Maintain and file extraneous medical records as required.

    Educations & Certifications:

    • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) in support of Individual Medical Readiness (IMR).

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum 3 years of full-time experience managing military medical records.
