    ROLE:
    The Materials Planner reviews blueprints and product specifications to accurately determine amount of materials needed. Documents overall material need, including all codes, brands, and contact information necessary to process orders. Adjusts amounts for existing inventory and for orders of conventional sizes. Requires ability to understand engineering documents and work closely with members of the engineering team.

    Collaborate with supply chain to maintain production schedules through assessing production demand and driving to mitigate material shortages
    Work with inventory and material handling to execute inventory requests and procure parts for production
    Iterate on instruction steps and material kitting strategy to drive towards optimum assembly order and reduce the probability of technician error
    Interface with production supervisors to schedule builds and make adjustments based on material and resource availability
    Maintain floor stock and work to adjust supply to reflect production needs
    Support operation sequencing and implementation of part demand to streamline assembly and improve production timeline
    Interface with engineers and technicians on the release of work orders for build and ensure that part demand is accurate and reflected accurately in inventory

    REGISTRATIONS:

    Language:
    English -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.

    Computer Skills:
    Working knowledge of basic Microsoft Suite -Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, Viso; working knowledge of 3D Cad/Cam systems (Pro/E Solidworks, Wildfire 2.Experience with MRP or conceptual understanding of resource and capacity planning.

    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical analysis. Ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

    Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.


    Technical Skills:
    Must have excellent project management ability, this includes: multi-tasking, vendor management, customer management, forecasting, and effective communication skills.

    May work with toxic or caustic chemicals.


    Position will work primarily in an office environment with low noise level, but may have some exposure to the manufacturing floor which has mid to high noise level with exposure to manufacturing machinery/ equipment (Examples: metal can manufacturing department, large earth-moving equipment).
