- Assist the team in creating a safe, caring environment where students can grow and experience engaging learning. Build meaningful relationships with afterschool participants and encourage participation in activities.
- Create meaningful, appropriate activities to achieve academic and social & emotional growth of students. Assist with meal service and outside/gym activities.
- Reports to the site on time and prepared, as directed. Model professional behavior with students, school personnel, staff, and parents.
- Handle disruptive behavior with respect, following Responsive Classroom practices. Report and issues to ESLAsC Supervisor and/or Site Specialist.
- Volunteer weekly in students' classrooms when able. Build working relationships with student's teachers to better serve student's needs. Build relationships with parents to bridge student's academic, social & emotional needs with home life.
- Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.
- High School Diploma or GED
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s)
- Bi-lingual
- Experience working with primary school-age students
- Monday – Friday 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm
- Monday – Thursday 2:15 pm – 6:15 pm
