    Education:


    Graduate of a Diagnostic Imaging accredited program or equivalentExperience / Qualifications, Certificate or Registry of Diagnostic Imaging accredited program, American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, for health care providers.

    Minimum of 3 years of lead/management experience preferredPosition SummaryThe Quality coordinator performs management duties including but not limited to:

    the oversight of the American College of Radiology (ACR) Quality program by developing and maintaning quality assurance protocols for the clinical team.

    Quality coordinator is responsible for managing clinical quality assurance and safety programs in accordance with state and federal regulations.

    The Quality coordinator will work with the other modality Leads to insure that all modalities meet ACR and Joint Commission patient safety and image quality requirements.

    Works with our physician leadership to insure smooth processes and supports clinical care. Leads and participates in process improvement initiatives to ensure optimal quality of patient exams and effective department operations.

    The Quality coordinator is an integral part of the service excellence program, expedeting patients, participating in action plan design and implementation and participates in service recovery as needed.

    Proficient in IT systems including PACS and Cerner. Demonstrates flexibility as needed to maintain the workflow. Demonstrates proficiency in resolving customer problems. Demonstrates proficiency in meeting timelines for customer satisfaction. Maintains Certification and stays abreast of the changes and prerequisites of the imaging field. The Quality coordinator performs necessary quality assurance tests and monitors overall quality of exams performed daily. Assists in maintaining accurate records of technical staff to assure all licensure requirements are fulfilled. Assists in maintaining logs for maintenance of equipment and schedules service when necessary. Assists with maintaining quality control standards.

    The Quality coordinator performs management duties including but not limited to:
    developing schedules for the clinical team, maintaining productivity, expediting patient flow and communication to insure service excellence. Demonstrates flexibility as needed to maintain the workflow. Demonstrates proficiency in resolving customer problems. Maintains inventory levels and assures that sufficient quantities of supplies are on hand at all times.

    Serve on hospital and Patient Care Services committees, teams, and work groups as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Physical RequirementsFrequently required to sit for long periods (>1 hour), to bend, to answer/use telephone, lift 5 to 30lbs., to hear/speak in person, on the phone and is exposed to noise.
