IT Business Analyst - Data & Analytics

Location:
Remote

Duration: 6 months to start

Compensation- $75- $85/hr

Work Requirements:
US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US

Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: 3-5+ years.

Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Business acumen and the ability to align analytics solutions with organizational goals.

Technical Knowledge

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Synapse Analytics (formerly Azure SQL Data Warehouse).
Hands-on experience with Data Factory & Synapse pipelines.
Proficient in SQL for data querying and analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
Familiarity with data modeling and database concepts.
Understanding of statistical analysis and data mining techniques.
Knowledge of business intelligence and analytics best practices.

Candidate Must

Reside in Eastern or Central time zone.
Have experience in large corporate environments working with cross-functional teams.
Be detail-oriented with excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Be energetic, have a positive can-do attitude, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

Seeking a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team focused on data and analytics.

The candidate will play a crucial role in extracting insights from data, improving decision-making processes, and supporting the organization's data-driven strategy.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand business needs, and leverage analytical and technical expertise to drive data-driven solutions.

Duties And Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data and analytics solutions.
Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for strategic decisions.
Design and develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations for effective communication of complex data insights.
Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and optimal performance of analytics solutions.
Provide support for data-related projects, including data modeling, profiling, and quality assessment.
Contribute to continuous improvement of data analytics processes and tools.
Serve as a liaison between business and IT, providing technical and business solutions.
Translate business requirements to functional specifications for IT and manage changes.
Assist in communication between business units and IT, business process redesign, and documentation.
Analyze business operations to identify opportunities for automating processes.
Possess expert knowledge of supported business units, IT systems, and basic understanding of technology trends.
Create business requirements and documents for projects.
Research, document, and analyze data to support business functions, process knowledge, and system requirements.
Proactively generate reports with recommended improvements for business processes.
Apply communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to maximize IT system investments and implement new business process solutions.
Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
Perform other assigned duties.
