Seeking a flexible, open-minded change agent who has demonstrable real-world Agile experience.
In order to create an environment for transformation, this person must demonstrate the ability to influence the mindset and behavior of teams and individuals.
When working with teams, it is important for this individual to push back against prevailing norms, create a learning environment and lay the groundwork for slow but ongoing organizational and social change.
This person should continually hone their Agile, facilitation and coaching skills, staying ahead of new developments.To guide each team's Agile journey, they must embody the Agile Manifesto, Scrum Guide and Kanban practices and be the first line of contact when Agile consultation is needed for the teams.
This position requires an Agile Mindset, basing decisions on empiricism and identifying opportunities to continuously improve the way teams deliver products and services.
This Agile Coach will work with individuals and teams within a designated functional or geographical area, as well as their executives, leaders, and managers.
Additionally, this coach will need to partner closely with other Agile roles to ensure alignment with the enterprise level delivery initiatives.
Influence mindset and behaviours, including those of senior leaders of teams.
Coach and support Scrum Masters, Kanban Facilitators, Product Owners, stakeholders and teams as they adjust to and embrace Agile ways of working at Kohler.
Ensure teams focus to achieve business outcomes and goals.
Empower teams to become self-managing, cross-functional with an attitude of relentless improvement.
Facilitate Scrum Masters and Kanban Facilitators in aligning to our Agile practices within a specific set of provided guidelines and boundaries.
Assess and enhance Agile maturity of teams
Attend and observe team behaviour during Agile events.
Share findings that impact Agile adoption, team maturity and performance identified during Scrum Master and Product Owner sync-up meetings with the Project Management Office.
Work with the Agile teams to complete metrics roll-up and reporting.
Perform Agile Maturity Assessment at regular interval of time and create coaching plan for each team.
Facilitate additional metrics collection in partnership with the Scrum Master or Kanban Facilitator.
Coach the team on Engineering practices such as Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development (TDD) and User Story writing
Identify on-going training and coaching needs for teams.
Deliver training and support for the use of Agile tools e.g. Jira, Confluence
Enable Kohler's Agile way of working
Use the Kohler's Agile Delivery Framework (Initiate, Activate, Execute, Close) for Agile way of working.
Partner with Enterprise Agile Coach to support Agile Activation Process by reviewing Team Charter, Conducting Scrum 101 or Kanban 101 Training
Partner closely with Scrum Masters/Kanban Facilitators of assigned teams in evangelizing Agile way of working.
Partner with Tools team in setting up Scrum/Kanban boards in Jira and Confluence for documentation.
Collaborate with Business Leaders and Delivery Leaders in addressing Agile adoption challenges.
Promote Agile outside of the agile projects and teams
Engage with and encourage an Agile and Scrum Master Community of Practice
Be engaged with the PMO Center of Excellence
Provide coaching, support, and guidance to team in partnership with the Scrum Master, Product Owner or Kanban Facilitator
Hold weekly one-on-ones with Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Kanban Facilitators to provide coaching, feedback opportunities and ad hoc training.
Participate in other shared learning events and activities with the Kohler Agile community.
Facilitate Quarterly Product Planning (QPP) and Quarterly Business Reviews(QBRs) events.
Help develop training and education for onboarding and ongoing development
Ensure teams are focused on delivering business outcomes and usable features of the highest priority and value to the business
Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Kanban Facilitators on the customer and product thinking mindset.
Ensure Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Kanban Facilitators help the teams understand the WHY and the business value that is being delivered to the customer/end user.
Bachelor's degree
5+ Years' Experience
Strong background in Agile coaching multiple teams and developing learning mindset
Experience with training teams on Agile practices and train the trainer sessions for Scrum Masters
Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence
A desire and openness to learn and continuously improve
Strong influencing skills without command and control
Excellent communication and people skills
Commitment to the Agile practice at Kohler, the terminology and mindset
Scrum and Kanban Certification- preferred
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
The salary range for this position is $107,650 - $137,150.
The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
