    Description
    Manages the development and execution of market research plans and strategies that align with the overall marketing and business objectives of business/groups. Manages the research procurement process and oversees/executes market research plans. Partners closely with internal stakeholders to provide fact-based strategic insights and interpretation of research results. Synthesizes and presents information from various sources and provides a holistic perspective of research data including implications. Works with business/group to develop business strategies/initiatives based on research finding to improve business decisions, increase market share and drive revenue.

    Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

    Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.

    Conducts large-scale analysis of information to discover patterns and trends by combining different modules and algorithms.

    Collaborate together with the product team and partners to understand and provide data-driven decision making, business planning and future roadmap.

    Builds effective relationships with internal stakeholders.

    Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

    Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.

    Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.

    Executes work to deliver timely, accurate, and efficient service.

    Uses advanced analytical algorithms and technologies (e.g. machine learning, artificial intelligence) to mine and analyze large sets of structured and unstructured data to obtain insights.

    Integrates information from multiple sources to enable more efficient processes, enhanced analysis and/or streamlined reporting.

    Provides advice/counsel to internal clients on matters relating to subject matter expertise.

    Gathers and analyzes data about a market for a particular product or service to include product research, consumer research, modes of distribution, promotion research, pricing, surveys, advertising and public relations.

    Conducts analytical, quantitative, reporting and investigative functions to interpret data, formulate reports and make recommendations.

    Leverages existing and new research findings to develop new strategic initiatives as they relate to the customer.

    Ensures research is conducted according to industry best practices and confirms to BMO policies.

    Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.

    Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.

    Works independently on a range of complex tasks, which may include unique situations.

    Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Advanced degree (Bachelors, Masters ) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, or other quantitative disciplines and/or equivalent experience
    • Experience with programming languages (e.g. SQL, Python, R, SAS)
    • Deep proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms.
    • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
    • Strong Verbal & written communication skills.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    $79, $113,900.00

    The base salary represents BMO Financial Group's hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.

    Base salary is one component of BMO Financial Group's total compensation package for employees, which may include performance-based incentives, commissions or discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
