- Graduate of school or college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
- Current license to practice in Oklahoma.
- Maintenance of license through approved continuing education courses.
- Able to talk and converse distinctly with others in person and over the phone.
- Able to walk/stand for extended periods, some lifting. Able to reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel
- Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable with glasses/contacts, to read/write, discern small objects, to accurately fill medication orders.

Responsible for all aspects of drug purchasing, storage, preparation, and dispensing in SMC. The director is the main link to interact with other departments. He represents pharmacy at all dept. head meetings, infection control, Medical Therapeutics, and other committees as needed. The director may perform the same duties as a staff pharmacist regarding compounding and filling drug orders. Previous experience in hospital pharmacy is desirable, but not mandatory.
