    Description

    Job Overview:

    • We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager ("Project Engineer") to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning, engineering, management, and execution of various projects within our organization. Your role will involve working closely with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist Project Manager with review of awarded projects, project start-up/setup, and document control.
    • Manage cost control process, short-term schedules, pay application process, subcontract and permitting administration.
    • Perform quantity take-offs, submittal reviews, material procurement, and inventory control.
    • Assist Project Manager with managing control budget, contract adjustments, LDR, construction reporting, and cost and revenue projections.
    • Assist Project Manager with managing field and office support staff including superintendents, field engineers, and project coordinator.
    • Assist Project Manager with project closeout process.

    Skills:

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Proficient in using project management software and tools
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
    • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
    • Knowledge of file management systems and document control procedures

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Construction, or similar - PREFERRED
    • Knowledge of construction management operations
    • 2-5 years construction industry experience, ideally in civil, highway, bridge, structural concrete or steel
    • Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and construction project management software
