Full‑Time | $110,000–$140,000 / year
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Water Resources Superintendent to oversee field operations and construction activities on water resource projects, relating to Civil Construction.
Roadways & Highways and Private Site Development.This role is responsible for jobsite safety, quality, scheduling, and leading project field teams to ensure all work meets company standards and project requirements.
The Superintendent will work closely with the Project Manager and Operations Manager to ensure successful project execution—on time, on budget, and with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership & Coordination
Supervise and coordinate field staff, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain schedule efficiency.
Lead and promote a positive team culture and strong work attitude across the project team.
Train, coach, mentor, and discipline field employees and trade partners as needed.
Project & Quality Management
Manage permit and inspection processes, ensuring timely completion and correction of deficiencies.
Maintain detailed daily reports, including photos, production tracking, and equipment usage.
Monitor work quality and scheduling across all trades and phases of construction.
Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project progress.
Ensure all operations comply with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.
Develop and maintain site logistics plans and project phasing plans.
Produce and distribute detailed look‑ahead schedules to meet milestone goals.
Lead trade partner coordination meetings.
Maintain safety reporting and hold trade partners accountable for safety training and compliance.
Track schedule impacts and delays for owner documentation.
Oversee change order field work and maintain accurate documentation.
Assist with procuring site services (dumpsters, portable toilets, etc.) using cost‑effective vendors.
Maintain a clean, organized jobsite and site trailer, including required signage.
Requirements
Technical & Professional Skills
Ability to read and understand construction documents, including plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and contracts.
Strong understanding of scheduling and cost‑control principles.
High attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in plans.
Strong communication, leadership, and planning skills.
Commitment to doing whatever it takes to get the job done safely and effectively.
Proficiency or willingness to learn:
MS Outlook, Word, Excel

Concur

P6 Scheduling Software
Physical & Site Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat/cold.
Ability to perform manual labor tasks such as pumping water, shoveling, and debris removal.
Ability to operate heavy equipment (preferred).
Ability to move effectively throughout the jobsite.
Travel to project sites required, including out‑of‑town assignments.
Must possess all required safety certifications.
Compensation
$110,000 – $140,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
