Job Description Summary

Responsible for overseeing all activities in operating the PDC warehouse, including shipping, packaging and receiving books ordered by over 10,000 Professional Development Courses students in a year. Manage the inventory of books and insure we have sufficient inventory to meet student registration demands. This include tracking and receiving shipments from book suppliers.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid California Driver's license with clean DMV report
3 years of general warehouse, receiving, inventory, and delivery experience.
3 years of general shipping experience.
3 years of general data entry skills
Computer literate (Microsoft Office, internet, etc.)
Customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications

Professional writing skills
Excellent oral communication skills
Good computer skills
Problem solving skills

Duties

Specific Duties

Manage and oversee the the PDC Warehouse. This entails overseeing the inventory of books and insure we have sufficient inventory to meet student registration demands. This include tracking and receiving shipments from book suppliers, packaging, and shipping books to newly enrolled students. Maintain inventory record and reconcile inventory records with physical inventory.

Prepare instructional material for shipping and arrange shipping of materials with USPS or any other authorized shipping company. Print shipping labels and prepare instructional materials to be shipped to students .

Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and publishers. Set inventory ordering setpoints based on seasonal sales projection analysis. Control and monitor course availability on the website.

Work closely with third-party vendors and the Director of PDCs to determine solutions and strategic planning for e-book implementation and distribution.

Assist the PDC specialists in resolving student issues regarding book orders.

Assist the PDC specialists with customer service. This entails providing excellent customer service, answering the toll-free number, emails, and chats as needed. Warehouse housekeeping/maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Back-up and/or backfill for Purchasing and Warehouse Lead and Director - including by not limited to preparing, processing Purchase Orders, package check-in, receiving, and internal customer service.
