Provides leadership, strategy, and holds overall accountability for multiple plan-build-run pod teams, each with end-to-end responsibility for management and implementation of business applications for a defined business division(s) and discrete functions.
Manages a staff (inclusive of both managers and individual contributors) that is responsible for all phases of project delivery, from inception through planning, development, testing, and implementation per the Abbott SLC.
Ensures value is achieved as anticipated per defined program or project goals and objectives.Is responsible for the definition and ultimately delivery of IT solutions, playing a key role in decision making, planning, and executing IT initiatives.
Accountable for operations service delivery, including incident/problem management, change/release management, root cause analysis and application availability, reliability, and performance.Leader and enterprise subject matter expert for respective domain and/or technology (e.g., customer relationship management, revenue management, information management).Harmonizes, motivates, and provides development opportunities for team members.
Provides coaching and mentoring.Develops strategic relationships with supplier partners.
What Youll Work OnResponsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Responsible for business systems architecture and design enterprise solutions and integration to division, corporate and shared solutions in this specific function.
Responsible for business application program resource planning and delivery based upon Corporate and Division defined policies and practices.Delivery of business applications providing technical delivery lead to manage and oversee all elements of operations and maintenance of business applications.
Assurance of best practice delivery and operations. Assurance of compliance to internal/external regulatory and policies.Has responsibility for all aspects of people management (performance management, staffing) and budget.
Leadership/direction executive steering committees for large or enterprise -wide systems and recommend implementation strategies.
Manage all organizational assets (people, hardware, software, etc.) to meet compliance with Corporate CFM, IT and Human Resources policies.
Ensures customer and supplier relationships are fostered and strengthenedDevelop and direct budget execution plans to ensure resources for meeting changing client demands.
Negotiates contracts with third-party software providers and system integrators.Responsible for managing internal, external and offshore contract equivalent for full delivery to Abbotts enterprise, division, and / or site.
Establishes a cross departmental team (BRM, plan/build/run, suppliers) to seamlessly execute projects and ensure ongoing operations support. Partners directly with BRMDirectors and VPs, VP and Director-level end customers, sourcing Providers, IT colleagues and other vendors.Function as Single Point of Escalation for all questions, activities and issues related to project delivery requests aligned to specific business functional domains.
Responsible for evaluating performance of organization against defined metrics and implementing process improvements as necessary.Drives to resolution of technical, business process, or supplier issues - identifying patterns and root causes. Leads solutioning for functional domain or domains.
Partners with Project Management on development of proper communication with clients and suppliers regarding project operation.
Champions change management best practices and incorporates into solution delivery and ongoing operations support activities.
Responsible for Staff and Travel budgets as well as identifying needed decreases/increases per the financial schedule. Approves project estimates prior to project initiation. Reviews and approves time reports/invoices Monitors actuals.
Manages Phase Zero's and accountable for accurate financial estimates. Works with BRM on creation of capital requests. Works with Purchasing and vendors on on-going software/hardware license maintenance estimates. Communicates maintenance needs to BRM, RUN and appropriate Finance team.
Identifies and structure of their organization to align to the current and anticipated future strategy of domainsRequired QualificationsBachelors degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
Masters Degree in Business preferred10-12 years of experience with 10 years of systems application development in a variety of software technologies and hardware platforms.
