    The Accounting Supervisor - hybrid position is responsible for managing the month end closing process, including developing and posting assigned journal entries based on the timeline assigned by Corporate Finance (typically 8 business days) and preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.

    The Accounting Supervisor is the company's Subject Matter Expert with respect to revenue recognition, including a good understanding of ASC606, and overall, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

    In addition, this position is responsible for monthly financial reporting, including detailed gross margin analysis.

    The position is responsible for supporting the Corporate Tax Department with annual reporting for Sales by State and Property by state.

    The position supervises a general accountant, a sales commission accountant and the sales tax accountant (sales/use tax filings for all domestic jurisdictions).

    Responsible for the accurate and timely recording of transactions in ledger

    • Responsible for recording banking transactions in the ledger and reviewing the bank account reconciliations (prepared by a staff member)
    • Responsible for account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts
    • Responsible for supervising the sales tax process, including supporting any sales tax audits
    • Responsible for ensuring payroll expenses are properly recorded and reported as they impact gross margin calculations
    • Responsible for responding to audit requests as requested
    Support treasury management activities as requested

    • Participate in process improvement efforts ensuring stream lined processes are in place resulting in reduced time in closing process and that appropriate financial controls are in place and documented
    • Other duties and responsibilities related to Accounting/Finance as assigned by supervisor

    Proficiency with Excel, including VLookups, Pivot Tables and complex calculation, working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Internet; Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.

    4 year degree, preferably in Accounting/Finance

    • 2-4 years audit experience
    *EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: M-F, flex with core hours requirement (9AM-3PM)
