    Description

    Senior Data Engineer

    We seek a Senior Data Engineer for an exciting new opportunity You will play a critical role in the design, build and maintenance of scalable data data pipelines DB's, Data Warehouse / Data Lakehouse etc. You will be part of a major technical modernization across an enterprise. We need a candidate who is very experienced data engineering, software development and cloud technologies. You will work with data scientists, business analyst and a variety of stakeholders to deliver high-quality actionable insights that drive value and innovation.

    This is a hands on opportunity where you will have a direct impact on the design and build out of a highly scalable Azure platform. This Direct hire opportunity is available for immediate hire. We seek a candidate in Atlanta who can come into the office 3 times a month on average. While the majority of this work will be done from your home, we do like to have the team get together.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and Optimize scalable data solutions - ETL Development, Storge Engineering
    • Optimize the performance of data stores
    • Work with Azure Data platforms, including PaaS and SaaS offerings
    • Design schemas, script in SQL or other languages
    • Partner with internal team members to build relationships and understand the overall direction
    • Collaborate with others across the enterprise

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • 7+ Years of MSSQL experience
    • 3+ Years of MSSQL Server in Azure
    • 3+ Years working with open data formats (ex Parquet and Delta Lake)
    • 3+ Years building data pipelines in MPP tools like Azure Data Factory, Databricks or Synapse Analytics
    • 3+ years integrating with 3rd party SaaS systems through modern connectivity like API or others
    • 3+ years implementing data solution in the Microsoft Azure environment
    • 1+ year of Power BI and Data sourcing / integration

    PREFERRED SKILLS:

    • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
    • Spark (SparkSQL, PySpark)
    • Salesforce
    • Power BI
    • GitHub
    • Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate)
    • Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions
    • REST and GraphQL APIs
