    JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSABILITIES:


    The Specialty Pharmacy Services Process Improvement Manager is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements within the specialty pharmacy case management department.

    This role plays a crucial role in optimizing the operations and processes within a specialty pharmacy.
    This role aims to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and the overall quality of services provided to patients.

    The Process Improvement Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams like Pharmacy Operations, Compliance and Quality and IT to identify and resolve process bottlenecks and implements best practices to drive positive outcomes.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

    Evaluate existing specialty pharmacy processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gains, and opportunities to enhance patient care.

    Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing patient-related processes and workflows within the specialty pharmacy to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

    Implement patient-centered care principles and ensure that all processes prioritize the well-being, safety, and satisfaction of patients.
    Develop and implement a strategic plan for process improvement initiatives, aligning with the organization's goals and objectives. Identifying, escalating priority issues and reporting to management.
    Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies to identify trends, key performance indicators (KPIs), and areas needing improvement. Analyze data to make informed decisions.

    Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams in process improvement efforts, including Lean Six Sigma methodologies, to streamline operations and enhance productivity.

    Ensure that all processes or process improvements align with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices. Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain high standards.

    Collaborate with the training department to develop and deliver training programs to staff, ensuring they are updated on new processes and best practices and ensuring all staff are well-equipped to provide exceptional patient care.

    Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth implementation of process improvements, including communication, training, and monitoring.

    Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes in case management, procedures, and improvements, making them accessible to relevant stakeholders.

    Establish and track key performance metrics and KPIs to measure the success of process improvement initiatives. Regularly report on progress to management.
    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacists, technicians, IT, and compliance departments, to achieve process improvement goals.

    REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:

    Education and Experience:
    Completed Pharmacy Technician Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration.
    Relevant certification and/or coursework in process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
    2 or more years of proven experience in process improvement and project management is required.
    2 or more years of proven experience in healthcare operations, particularly in specialty pharmacy services is preferred.

    Required Skills:
    Great communicator at all levels, including but not limited to stakeholders, physicians, payers, medical office staff, patients, caregivers. Able to communicate effectively (read, speak, and write) in Spanish. Ability to alsocommunicate in English is preferred.
    Clinical knowledge, customer service focused, innovative, accountability, proactive, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.
    Able to work effectively in team matrixes with limited supervision.
    Computer proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Office products, and Internet experience.
