    Fiscal Analyst 2


    We're seeking a permanent Fiscal Analyst 2 to join our Facilities, Finance, and Analytics Administration (FFA) team on McNeil Island, WA.


    This position is assigned to the Local Funds unit of the Consolidated Business Services (CBS3) Special Commitment Center Home Team and is responsible for confidentially maintaining patient and group funds in the Institutional facility setting.

    The Fiscal Analyst 2

    manages approximately 200 patient accounts and all group accounts utilizing an automated accounting system.

    This position

    provides consultation and technical assistance to managers, supervisors, and employees on the appropriate use of Local Funds. They also conduct audits, analysis and reconciliation of local funds records.
    Pierce County employees

    are eligible to receive

    an Orca Card for transportation needs.

    Opportunities performed on

    site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an

    additional

    5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary.
    SCC employees also receive an

    additional

    $10 per day premium pay in addition to advertised salary and a free O


    RCA
    card for transportation use.

    Please note, this position is in-office only and located on McNeil Island 5 days per week, Monday to Friday during core business hours.

    Ferry transportation is provided to McNeil Island employees

    Some of what you'll do:
    Manages approximately 200 patient trust accounts and group accounts utilizing an automated accounting systemAudit accounts for accuracy, prepares adjustments to resolve discrepancies when necessaryMonitors patient trust funds for financial responsibility towards their cost of care obligationResponds to account inquiries through analysis and preparation of historical data reportsInterprets and utilizes Medicaid (Title XIX), NFRs, RCWs and DSHS rules and regulations for management of accountsActs as lead when supervisor is not present on sitePrepare, verify and audit incoming and outgoing receipts, deposits and cash for all accountsReview, analyze and determine liquidation method of unclaimed or abandoned patient accountsProcess patient account deposits, withdrawals, orders, payments and allocations as requestedIssue and process PCard authorizations and reconciliations to approved authorized usersProcess and calculate semi monthly incentive payProvide assistance and resolutions with requests, research and inquiriesExcellent customer service with all interactions, internal and externalMonthly audits, reconciliation and reporting of all accountsOther duties as assignedWhat we're looking for:
    Ability to use automated patient account systemValues confidentiality and ensures the protection of client and personnel informationExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with staff at all levelsAbility to demonstrate the application of accounting principles, including an understanding of the State of Washington Chart of AccountsAbility to utilize computer skills; access, input and retrieve information utilizing applicable software programs; have an intermediate working knowledge of outlook, Word, Excel (including creating, preparing, importing data, creating tables and graphs from spreadsheet data)Ability to learn and apply the State of Washington's budgeting and accounting principles and regulations; principles and procedures of governmental account and budgeting; fiscal organization and operations; recognize methods used in effecting internal controlsProfessionals with one of the following should apply
    :

    Professionals with a bachelor's degree, which includes 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting AND one to two years of relevant professional experience;ORProfessional experience may substitute for education, but not for the credit hours;ORA Master's degree in a financial-related field, certified as a Public Accountant, Internal Auditor, Certified Governmental Financial Manager, or Management Accountant can be substituted for professional experience.
