    Logistics Technician (Warehouse Associate)

    Reports to: Warehouse Manager

    Tasks

    Job overview

    The Logistics Technician is responsible for preparing and loading shipments. Direct and indirect Materials receiving, handling and booking.

    Responsibilities


    •Preparing daily shipments
    •Receiving and transferring incoming direct and indirect materials
    •Communicating with Logistic Coordinators regarding shipments
    •Communicating damages to the Quality Teams
    •Handling material and supplying assembly lines with parts
    •Printing labels and labeling shipments
    •Loading and unloading trucks
    •Processing shipments in SAP
    •Dealing daily with customer and supplier questions and issues
    •Providing shipment and receipt information/ verification to finance
    •Ordering and scheduling supplies for shipments
    •Handling scrap and recycling materials
    •Following International Automotive Task Force quality standards – IATF 16949
    •Team work – train employees and assisting others with more difficult tasks
    •Escalation of issues to manager
    •Following Internal Quality Issues procedure – IQI
    •Ensuring First in – First out
    •Ensuring safety rules and policies are followed
    •Housekeeping – 5S-Standard
    •Other duties assigned

    Job Requirements

    Education requirements


    •High School Diploma/GED: preferred
    •Work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment:
    Minimum 1-2 years, preferred 3 years of more

    •Forklift certificate

    Physical requirements


    •Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
    •Constant walking, standing, sitting, handling and using fingers
    •Frequent bending, reaching outward and above shoulders with hands and arms
    •Occasional climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling and working from height
