Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and the ability to create a nurturing environment for clients in various settings, including home care, group homes, and hospice care. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those you serve by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
We are currently looking for a Caregiver that is open to being a Float, working as needed for any shift. We currently have day shifts, evening shifts, as well as Overnight shifts. Need someone that would be open to working an occasional overnight shift on Saturday evenings, and occasional as our caregivers take time off. Also, for call offs, etc. We also have a need to be a float, occasionally need a morning shift picked up, or afternoon. Most of our clients are in CDA, Hayden, Post Falls, Rathdrum area.
***Huge plus if you are hoyer trained - for a very part time client on Monday mornings** but that is not a deal-breaker as it is very rare.
This position is very part time/On Call/As needed.
Duties
- Monitor the health and well-being of clients, providing regular updates to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Read individualized care plans tailored to each client's specific requirements and follow them.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties as needed.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in client conditions while following safety protocols.
- Stay awake and provider care overnight as needed for client and family.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, or home care is required for this position.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Personal care, bathing, showering, bathing is all required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Previous experience in senior care, memory care are required
- Have a valid Driver's License, current vehicle insurance and registration
- Reliable vehicle
- Be able to pass a background check and drug screen as well as DMV check
