You should be an empathetic individual with competent observational, clinical, critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills and contribute to a positive patient care experience and work environment. The Referral Coordinator has no supervisory or direct people management responsibilities.

    Requirements:

    • Must be 18 years old, must have High School Diploma/ GED and have 12 months of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities;
    • Bilingual - Must have oral and written fluency in English AND either Portuguese, Spanish or other languages.

    Job Duties:

    • Answer the phone, manage messages and mail, process referrals and maintain the waitlist.
    • Request and follow up on all authorizations for services.
    • Perform daily Eligibility checks/ Verify client insurance coverage/ benefits
    • Monitor and update rosters while managing all required materials for day to day operations.
    • Monitor unit tracker for required action
    • Maintain communication with referral sources and other service providers as needed
    • Attend weekly Admin Meeting
    • Weekly MABAH reporting
    • Maintain IHBS/ ABA Development Plan
    • Maintain Client rosters
