    Overview:

    The Women's Imaging Center, a practice partner of Together Womens Health (TWH) has an immediate opportunity for a Full Time Medical Records Assistant to join their growing medical team.

    As a Medical Records Assistant at The Women's Imaging Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of patient medical records. You will be responsible for organizing, managing, and maintaining all medical records related to radiology procedures conducted at our center. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding patient privacy and confidentiality standards.

    Responsibilities:
    • Record Management:
      • Maintain an organized system for storing and retrieving patient medical records, including digital and physical files
    • Data Entry
      • Accurately enter patient demographic information, medical history, diagnostic procedures, and other relevant data into electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Record Maintenance:
      • Regularly update and review patient records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Release of Information:
      • Process requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other authorized parties in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
    • Quality Assurance:
      • Perform audits and quality checks on medical records to identify discrepancies, errors, or missing information and take appropriate corrective actions
    • Communication:
      • Collaborate with healthcare providers, radiologists, administrative staff, and other team members to facilitate the exchange of medical information and ensure seamless patient care.
    • Compliance:
      • Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies governing the handling, storage, and disclosure of medical records, including HIPAA regulations.
    • Customer Service:
      • Provide excellent customer service to patients and external stakeholders by responding promptly and professionally to inquiries, requests, and concerns related to medical records.
    Qualifications:
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients, and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner at all times
    • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
    • Must be able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced medical office
