    The Controls Engineering Supervisor is a team leader of several Controls Engineers. Their primary responsibility is managing and training of their direct employees, and verification of their work. They will be responsible for the mentoring of new hires as well as current Engineering staff.

    Participating in regular manpower meetings with the Engineering Manager to distribute workload and discuss backlog and plan for future department needs.

    Design of complete building automation systems including the specification and sizing of controllers, electromechanical devices, sensors, networks, and computer hardware.

    Creation, where necessary, of sequences of operation for the control of all building systems.
    Documentation of the BAS design (i.e. submittals) and revision control of the resultant documents.
    Site-specific configuration of the WebCTRL system (using SiteBuilder).
    Development of graphical and text-based interfaces for building automation systems (using Eikon and ViewBuilder).
    Testing of programming and interfaces before deployment.
    Functional testing (commissioning) of complex building systems such as chiller plants and large integrations.
    Final documentation of the building automation system that incorporates all changes made since issuance of the submittal.
    Adherence to project requirements and company and customer standards in all aspects of design, programming, and implementation.
    Perform software and hardware quality control (QA/QC) reviews for all direct reports.

    Ensure deliverable dates from Project Managers are coordinated with Engineers and milestones are put in place to be sure to meet these requirements.

    Lead, document, and participate in yearly and semi-yearly performance reviews for all of your Engineers.
    Clear communication and proactive expectation setting with manager and project teams both internal and external.
    Maintenance and advisement of customer and company design and programming standards including parts and practices.
    High regard for employee and subcontractor safety.
    Interviewing potential candidates for open Engineering positions.

    Bachelor's degree in an engineering or construction discipline with 3+ years of experience in the HVAC controls industry, or High school / GED degree with 5+ years of experience in the HVAC controls industry.

    Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the average workweek, including air travel, overnight hotel stays, and unexpected travel when required.

    Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering or construction discipline with 5+ years of experience in the HVAC controls industry.

    Advanced knowledge of enterprise IP networks, including layout and troubleshooting.
    Thoroughly understands electrical and mechanical building systems.
    Capable of designing and programming any project executed by Automated Logic, regardless of complexity.
    Understand, write, and recommend modifications to sequences of operation for the automation of all building systems.

    Ability to interpret plans (including architectural, mechanical, and electrical blueprints), specifications, and contract documents to deliver compliant but optimized designs.

    Ability to provide direction and guidance to other team members and lead project teams.

    Ability to condense complex technical information into a comprehensive and clear set of design documents in a way that is easily understood and followed by project teams.

    Proficient with Microsoft Visio (other CAD software acceptable).
    Comprehensive working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
    Proficient with BAS software and associated engineering tools (Automated Logic suite preferred).
    Extensive knowledge of third-party communication protocols used in building automation (e.g. Strong aptitude for problem-solving even when troubleshooting remotely.
    Competency with Microsoft software including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
